”Orfeusgruppen” – en symbol för musik, den stora skulpturen av Carl Milles framför Konserthuset i Stockholm.
På Europadagen 9 maj, var där stor final i ”European Festival – Ukrainian Spring” med konserten ”Unbreakable”, ett gästspel av Lvivs Nationella Filharmoniska Orkester med Ukrainsk musik.
Några dagar tidigare hade jag turen att höra den fantastiska Argentinska pianisten Ingrid Fliter spela Schumann. Hon var den första kvinnliga artisten att få Gilmore Artist Award.

On Europe Day 9 May there was grand finale of the ”European Festival – Ukrainian Spring” with the concert ”Unbreakable”, a guest performance from Lviv National Philharmonic Orchestra featuring Ukrainian music.
A few days earlier I had been lucky to hear the fantastic Argentinian pianist Ingrid Fliter playing Schumann. She was the first female musician to win the Gilmore Artist Award.

Den här vackra dagen hade många sökt sig till city och till Hötorget i centrala Stockholm. En hel del satt på trappan till Konserthuset och njöt av solen.
På eftermiddagen var det dags att gå in och lyssna på den unge franske pianisten Alexandre Kantorow som spelade Brahms och Schubert. Det var en fantastisk konsert och han gav den entusiastiska publiken tre extranummer.
Det var en underbar dag.
This beautiful day a lot of people had found their way to city and to Hötorget, a square in central Stockholm. Many were sitting on the stairs of Stockholm Concert Hall enjoying the sun.
In the afternoon it was time to go inside and listen to the young French pianist Alexandre Kantorow playing Brahms och Schubert. It was a fantastic concert and he played three encores for the enthusiastic audience.
It was a wonderful day.

Konstutställning / Art Exhibition

”The lost shoe”, mina tre bidrag till den Internationella Konstutställningen med små (max 15x15cm) konstverk, måleri & mixed media.
De antog 110 konstnärer från 31 länder. Jag är så glad att vara en av dem. Man kan se några av alla konstverk (även mina) på den andra bilden. Utställningen öppnades 15 december 2022 och pågår till 25 mars 2023 på Lessedra Art Gallery, Sofia, Bulgarien.

Stockholm City fortfarande klädd i julfärger.
Sergels torg med Kulturhuset Stadsteatern. Ett hus för alla slags kulturella aktiviteter för alla åldrar.
Den 37,5 meter höga glasskulpturen utanför av Edvin Öhrström skiftar färg under året.

2 Advent.

2 Advent. Dags att tända det andra ljuset och hänga ett rött hjärta på ytterdörren. En fin julgran på Kungliga Operan, där man nu ger familjebaletten ”Askungen” med musik av Prokofiev och fantastiska kostymer av Christian Lacroix.
2 Advent. Time to light the second candle and decorate my front door with a red heart. A lovely Christmas tree in the Royal Swedish Opera, where they now show the family ballet ”Cinderella” with music by Prokofiev and fantastic costumes designed by Christian Lacroix.
Moderna museet Stockholm

Besökte Moderna museet i Stockholm och såg Jeppe Heins underbara fontän ”Spaces in Circles” (2022). Om man är försiktig, så kan man gå in i den utan att bli blöt. Den är en del av ett projekt ”Vem är du egentligen?” med utställning och workshops.
I bakgrunden Alexander Calders stora fantastiska skulpturgrupp ”De fyra elementen” (1961), som tillhör museet. En favorit!
Visited the Modern museum in Stockholm and saw Jeppe Hein´s wonderful fountain ”Spaces in Circles” (2022). If you are careful, you can walk into it without getting wet. It is part of a project ”Who are you really?” with exhibition and workshops.
In the background Alexander Calder´s big fantastic sculpture group ”The Four Elements” (1961), that belongs to the museum. A favorite!

En dag för kvinnor över hela världen, för kvinnor idag, för de kvinnor som gick före oss och de som kommer efter.
Internationella Kvinnodagen 8 mars är sedan 1977 en av FN:s officiella högtidsdagar.

På Lyran

Besökte Lyran, ett konditori vackert beläget vid Mälaren i södra Stockholm. Så gott fika.
Det speciella huset byggdes 1867 som sommarbostad. Det blev snart en samlingspunkt för den tidens mest kända författare, kulturelit och samhällsdebattörer. Man diskuterade, åt och drack och blev ”på lyran”. Ja, uttrycket kommer härifrån. Idag serverar de ingenting starkare än kaffe.
Visited Lyran (= Lyre in English), a coffee house beautifully located at Lake Mälaren in southern Stockholm. So good fika (= Swedish for coffee break with or without cake).
The special house was built 1867 as a summer house. It soon became a gathering place for the period’s most well-known writers, culture elite and public debaters. They were discussing, eating and drinking och became ”på lyran” (= Swedish for ”had a drop too much”). Yes, that expression comes from this place. Today they don´t serve anything stronger than coffee.

Så glad att bli inbjuden till kommande 1:a Internationella Postal Art Utställning i Naggar, Indien, 23-26 oktober 2021.
Vilket äventyr att dyka in i denna, för mig, nya konstform.
So happy to be invited to upcoming 1st International Postal Art Exhibition at Naggar, India, 23-26 October 2021.
What an adventure to dive into this, for me, new art form.
